This Privacy Policy explains how Degen Clicker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information about you when you use our Platform at degen-tower.vercel.app. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

Email addressCollected at registration via Supabase Auth. Used for login and account recovery.

PasswordStored as a secure hash by Supabase. We never store or have access to your plaintext password.

UsernameThe display name you choose for the leaderboard.

Game Data

Tap countYour total taps and game session data, stored for leaderboard ranking.

Character selectionWhich in-game character you have equipped.

Purchase historyShop items you have purchased with in-game coins.

XP & levelYour progression data including experience points and rank level.

Optional Information

Solana wallet addressOnly collected if you choose to add one. Required to receive prize payouts.

Profile imageIf you choose to upload a custom avatar.

Technical Data

IP addressCollected by our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and abuse prevention.

Browser / device infoAutomatically collected by standard web infrastructure.

CookiesSession cookies used for authentication. See Section 6.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

To provide, operate, and maintain the Platform and game
To authenticate your account and keep it secure
To display leaderboards and competitive rankings
To distribute prizes and rewards to eligible players
To detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and abuse
To communicate important updates about the Service
To improve and develop new features
To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL database platform). Supabase provides:

Encrypted data storage at rest
TLS encryption for all data in transit
Row-level security policies restricting data access per user
SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Your Solana wallet address is stored in our database only if you choose to provide it. We never request or store your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet signatures.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We share data with the following third-party services necessary to operate the Platform:

Website hosting and edge delivery. Vercel may log IP addresses and request metadata.

Solana BlockchainPrivacy Policy →

Public blockchain for token transactions and prize payouts. Wallet addresses and transactions are permanently public on-chain.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Degen Clicker, its users, or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

Account data is retained while your account exists
Game data and leaderboard history may be retained for historical records even after account deletion
Season data may be archived permanently for transparency
If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

Note: Blockchain transactions (e.g., prize payouts to your Solana wallet) are permanent and cannot be deleted from the public blockchain.

6. Cookies

We use minimal, essential cookies to operate the Platform:

Session Cookie: Maintains your authenticated login session. Expires when you log out or close your browser.

Auth Token: Secure token issued by Supabase to validate your identity. Stored in browser localStorage.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and personal data
Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format
Right to object — object to certain processing of your data
Right to restriction — request we limit processing of your data

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the Platform, please contact us.

9. International Users

Degen Clicker is operated globally. If you access the Platform from outside the country where our infrastructure is hosted, your information may be transferred to and processed in different jurisdictions. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer and processing.

GDPR (European Users): If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your data is (a) contract performance — to provide the game service, and (b) legitimate interests — to prevent fraud and improve the Platform. You have the rights described in Section 7 and may contact your local data protection authority with concerns.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy regularly. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
